Lost Campers USA insurance

Insurance:
Once the Rental Agreement is signed, Renter is responsible for the vehicle and any or all damage or loss Renter or others cause to the vehicle, regardless of fault.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and/or Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) can be purchased from Lost Campers at $9 per day each or $18 for both options.

If you are a U.S. resident with a valid driver’s license from either country and you have automobile insurance, your policy may cover Lost Campers’ rental vehicles. Please check with your insurance company. It is the choice of the Renter to accept or decline Lost Campers’ CDW and/or SLI. Renter accepts responsibility for ensuring appropriate coverage from their own automobile insurance policy if they choose to decline our insurance options.

Insurance:

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and/or Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) can be purchased from Lost Campers at $8 per day each or $11 for both options.

                         Choose just either CDW or SLI, take both, or stick with the minimum. Choice is yours! 

INSURANCE OPTIONS IN DETAIL

LIABILITY ~ COVER TO PROTECT YOU AGAINST CLAIMS FROM OTHER PARTIES
Included in our daily rates is the minimum third party, liability insurance required by the State of California. This offers you minimum protection against third party claims.

MINIMUM LIABILITY INSURANCE = INCLUDED IN DAILY RATES
If you wish to have further protection against third party claims, you can purchase Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) for $11 per day. This insurance will help protect you, the renter, should you injure another person in an accident, or damage the property of another while operating the rental vehicle. This affords the renter with liability insurance up to One Million Dollars.

1)SUPPLEMENTAL LIABILITY INSURANCE (SLI) = $11 per day
For rentals over 28 days, please ask for a quote, as we can reduce your insurance total

DAMAGES TO THE CAMPERVAN ~WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO PAY FOR DAMAGES TO THE VAN
To waive your responsibility to pay for damages to the rental vehicle, you can purchase Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) for $8 day. There is no 'Excess' and under California law, a rental company CANNOT charge an excess on this type of van. (Good news for you!) Therefore, to be compliant, we only offer you this one option with no excess.

*This waiver does not cover windscreen or tire damage. See rental contract for further information.

2) COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW) = $8 PER DAY
Without CDW, you are responsible for any or all damage or loss you, the renter, or others cause to the vehicle, regardless of fault.

For rentals over 28 days, please ask for a quote, as we can reduce your insurance total.
You can take either insurance, SLI @ $11 or CDW @ $8; none; or if you want full coverage take BOTH for $19. The choice is yours!

3) PERSONAL ACCIDENT AND EFFECTS INSURANCE~$4.50/day
We also offer Personal Accident and Effects insurance for $4.50 per day. This policy gives you coverage for accidental death benefits, ($100,000 renter, $10,000 passenger); Accidental medical expense ($1000); Ambulance ($250); Travel assistance; and $525 max per person Personal Effects / belongings coverage.

U.S. OR CANADIAN RESIDENTS
If you are a U.S. or Canadian resident with a valid driver's license from either country and you have automobile insurance that provides full coverage for rental vehicles (including minivans), you may have coverage for our Van. Please check with your insurance company prior to pickup of rental vehicle. You will need to decline our CDW and/or SLI and will be responsible for making a claim through your insurance company. Please provide us with your insurance information at time of rental. You can also purchase either of our products if you wish, however, these may duplicate your existing coverage.
